那須のイベントでも好評頂いた、‘遅れて来た新作’
[ Roving Muffler ] がCOOVA ONLINE SHOPにも入荷致しました。

思うところあって、じつはこれまで使うことが少なかった茶色系の色。今回はこの色で糸染めを依頼し、設計した生地で仕立てました。
先日のイベントでも何人かのお客様からこの色珍しいね、新鮮だねとお声掛けいただき嬉しかったのを思い出します。作ってみて良かったと思う色です。

秋の趣たっぷりな色彩と甘撚りの"ロービング"糸の独特な風合い、そして織物らしい凹凸のあるテクスチャーが魅力です。

The [Roving Muffler], a “belated new release” that was well-received at the Nasu event, is now available on the COOVA ONLINE SHOP.

Brown tones, which I had rarely used in the past, were a deliberate choice this time.
We had the yarn specially dyed in this color and used it to design the fabric for this piece.
I still remember how several customers at the event commented on how unique and refreshing the color was—it made me glad we decided to create it.

With its rich autumnal hues, the unique texture of softly twisted “roving” yarn, and the distinctive ridged weave, this muffler exudes seasonal charm.

昨日までの @somajapon さんでのCOOVA展へお越しいただいた皆様、誠にありがとうございました。
今回も非常に充実した展示会となりました。

それにしても…
店主ソウマさんからは毎回、来てくれる人を楽しませるにはまず自分たちが楽しめるのが大事なのだなぁと教えられます。

今回もそのメソッドを漏れなく注入してもらい、ギャラリーの設営から在廊日、アトリエに戻ってからもイベントの開催期間中はずっと笑いや驚きと共に過ごす事ができました。
あっという間の10日間でした。

那須周辺はこれからますます寒さが厳しくなりそうですね、
お選びいただいた布たちと共に、皆さまどうぞ温かい冬をお過ごしください。

Thank you so much to everyone who visited the COOVA exhibition at SOMA JAPON, which concluded yesterday.

Each time, the owner, Mr. Soma, reminds me of an important lesson: to truly delight our guests, we must first think of ways to enjoy ourselves.

Once again, I fully embraced that method, and from setting up the gallery to attending the exhibition and even after returning to the atelier, I was able to spend the entire event filled with laughter and surprises.
The 10 days flew by in the blink of an eye.

As the weather grows increasingly colder in the Nasu area, I hope you’ll enjoy a warm and cozy winter with the fabrics you’ve chosen.

愛知の工場のシャトル織機で製織したのち、山梨の整理工場へ移し、丁寧に洗いをかけてもらいました。
洗われることでロービング糸がふっくらと膨らみ生地に厚みが出るのはもちろんですが、それぞれの模様に細かな凹凸が生まれるのも織物ならではの魅力です。

定番で制作している軽くて柔らかなブランケットとは異なり、こちらは程よく重みを持たせているので
ソファカバーやベッドスプレッド、軽めのラグなど、掛けたり敷いたり用途は様々です。

This season, we’ve created new original colorways, including Frost ‘Renga’.
Inspired by the nostalgic, comforting hues of fired red clay used in bricks, hearths, and kitchens, it evokes the image of a cozy winter indoors, gathered around a warm fire.

Each year, we’ve crafted a red-toned version of this tasseled stole, but this season, we’ve aimed for a more subdued and deep red with lowered saturation, resulting in a rich and sophisticated finish.

誰かと過ごす冬の室内、温かな火を囲む場を思い起こさせるイメージで。

The “Rug Exhibition” at SHOZO SIDE GALLERY, located just a 30-second walk from SOMA JAPON, will showcase a variety of items, including large blankets (size L) and multi-covers (size L).

For two days, you can enjoy these textiles in the gallery’s spacious setting. Afterward, starting Monday the 25th, the larger fabrics will be moved to SOMA JAPON.

「ファブリック展」では、9日間ストールやブランケットなどぎっしり・多彩に展示。

We are delighted to announce that this weekend marks the start of the COOVA Exhibition, hosted across two venues in Kuroiso.

The “Fabric Exhibition” will showcase an array of stoles, blankets, and more for nine days.
Meanwhile, the “Rug Special” will feature large textiles such as rugs and multi-covers during an exclusive two-day display.

This marks the third year of hosting the exhibition in this format, and each time, the joy of meeting new customers has been a great source of inspiration for us.
We look forward to seeing everyone in Kuroiso once again this year.
The two venues are just a 30-second walk apart, so we encourage you to visit both and fully enjoy the experience.

いずれも人や環境が魅力で、仕事とは言え個人的にも訪れるのがたのしみな場所ばかりです。

その中でも、いくは市のぶどうのたねさんは
短い滞在時間ではありますが、私の心が特に豊かさで満たされる訪問先のひとつです。
今年も訪れることができ、本当に嬉しく思います。

Each year, I have the pleasure of holding the COOVA exhibition at various locations, with the opportunity to be present as a central part of my approach. Every place I visit is filled with wonderful people and a warm atmosphere, making each visit something I genuinely look forward to.

Among these special places, Budou no Tane in Ikuha holds a particularly cherished place in my heart. Though my time there is often brief, it leaves my spirit feeling deeply enriched.
I am truly grateful to have been able to visit again this year.

I was delighted to see so many guests engaging with the fabrics, and it was a meaningful experience for me as well.

思い返せば
このラグを織れる工場を探すことからはじまり
色の試作に微調整、加工方法や仕様の試行錯誤など、個人的にも制作過程の思い出やエピソードがたくさん詰まったこの3色でしたが、COOVAを続けてきた現在の私が提案したい色や仕様で新たに制作し、生まれ変わらせたいと思っています。
リニューアル後の民族ラグたちもどうぞおたのしみに。

尚、現在イベント中のぶどうのたねギャラリーさんでもサンプルをご覧になれます。

In preparation for the renewal of our [COOVA's Tribal_standard] collection next season, we would like to announce that our signature colors
(White/Yellow/Red) will be discontinued once the current stock is sold out.
Please check the product page for availability, as sales will conclude when stock runs out.

Searching for a factory capable of weaving these rugs, making sample adjustments to colors, experimenting with finishing techniques and specifications—
These three colors hold many personal memories and stories for me.
However, I’m excited to reimagine and recreate our rugs with the colors and specifications that I’m inspired to propose as a maker today.
